I ended up doing some more small updates on the site today, consolidating some of the old code and preparing for a few more big backend upgrades that will be done over time slowly within the next few months.
The only noticeable UI upgrade I did today involved how the category displays at the top of the article. Instead of each category being the same color as I originally programmed in after the UI upgrade, I added additional color templates for each of the different sections on the site right now.
